Xusia modeling completed
Here is Xusia the Master of Malevolence completed and ready for paint. I am quite pleased with the outcome. My Pop say's that "he screams Special Character!"
Fantastic mini! Sorry to be a bit critical, but I don't think the head works - everything else on the miniature, the back pack, the mace head, the open hand work nicely together - but the angular look of the head "jars" a bit.
Andy, it came across ok, I obviously had not noticed. The skull helmet has the same angles as the Sorcerer helmet from the Chaos Lord box. Which is where I stole the spikey bits on the helmet from. I do appreciate your honesty.
In the end I love it, and that's probably the most important part.
Looks great can't wait to see it painted up. What did you use for the mace head?
ReplyDeleteLooking awesome. The force mace is especially cool!
ReplyDeleteHe looks terrific. I especially like the little green stuff details that give Xusia real character e.g. cross scythes, behorned skull pad, etc.
ReplyDeleteIt's stand-out pose must be done justice with a killer paint job!
He looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI think I need to place an order for this special character! :-)
Great Job Jim, I can not wait to see him painted up!
I think your dad is right Jim, he does look the part. I love his pose, how he seems to be casting a spell. The little details adds to him, great work.
ReplyDeleteI hope to OSL on that raised hand, sir. -__^
Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteSilar the mace head comes from the LotR Sauron miniature.
Menzies, thanks for not putting any pressure on me! :P
Mags, If you really want a custom Sorcerer, it could be arranged.
Kuffeh, I may just have to try my hand at OSL on that raised hand, cause that would look great if I pull it off.
Well he is now Primed and painting will commence tomorrow!
-Jim
I think he looks evil like Darth Vader. A bit of Warp Lightning would look cool.

ReplyDeleteHopefully that came across OK?
Thanks for the feedback.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that too, Dee.

Definitely! :)
ReplyDeleteNice job.
ReplyDeleteI too am not really fond of the head but it definitely gives him a unique look and I don't think detracts at all from the model.
Like you said, it can be a personal choice when it comes to certain bits.
Make sure to post pics of him painted.
Whats the saying "I find your lack of Faith Disturbing."
ReplyDeleteJaw-dropping awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments! Painting has started so expect an update soon.
ReplyDeleteDee, that is too funny!
