Special Operations Killzone Codex Operatives incoming!

Hey guys I am happy to announce that by late March Spec Ops Killzone will be fully updated to 6th ed. The Codex Operatives has been woefully out of date, but fear not I have two very good friends that will be sitting down with me to make sure that this update happens so going forward updates won't be such a daunting task!

Until next time, keep your powder dry and lead flying!

  1. First of all let me say, fantastic job on these rules. I have been enjoying them for a few months now. I always liked the idea of Kill Team and your Killzone rules are just great as a full blown kill team ruleset.

Now a question. I am planning on running a small Killzone tournament in early April and I am going to participate with a Dark Eldar force. My question has to do with the Codex Operatives list for the DEldar. It lists 0-5 Kymerea, despite kymerea being Beasts and therefore limited to 3 models. I'm hoping that this is intended as an exception to the 3 model limit. Could you please clarify?

I know you are planning on having the whole ruleset updated to 6e by the end of March, but as this question dealt with a 5e codex I didn't think you would be looking too hard at it.

    Much appreciated.
    Again, awesome job!

  2. Speaking of Killzone, I have a couple of questions:

    1) Why the Necrons are forced to spend points on a Lord, when everyone else just goes with their elite choices?

    2) Why can't the Sisters of Battle use a Penitent Engine, which toes the 80-point line and meets the armor value limit as well?

And has anyone taken up the mantle of upgrading/finishing the Operatives Codex?

  3. Because Codex Operatives is woefully out of date.

No, I have gotten no body to help get it updated. My new job will force this to sit in Limbo for a bit longer. Sorry life happens.
