Ultramarines trailer 2

We finally know who they are fighting, Chaos Marines FTW! I shall rejoice with every blue armored death!

I don't care what the naysayers are griping about, I think the movie looks fantastic! I cannot wait until November!

  1. Oh dear. I'm sorry but I'm going to remain one of the naysayers...

  3. LOL, to each his own guys! I like the look and with an Abnet story line it should be fun, for my at least!

  4. God the voices burn my ears, and I just saw a CSM being kicked down what appears to be a bottomless well of doom.

Words cannot describe how badly this movie is presenting itself at the moment to me. I mean sweet merciful chaos gods, it would be sacrilege to enjoy it. (well, unless its Thousand Sons, when its blatantly just random shoehorning of Black Legion in there)

The Trailer looks more like something out of a THQ game rather than a film. Loads of glamour shots of random CSM being killed by the same guy, IN 3D. (James Cameron you sexy son of a b*tch what have you done?)

I'm sure that the storyline will be better than the one in that SW novel for the Horus Heresy series. Now if only they'd do this right and adapt something like Isstvaan or the events of Fulgrim to a movie. Now THAT'D be cool.

  5. I'm with you Big Jim. It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand. My only criticism is the dripping old look of some to the marines. The kind of look like feeble grandpas. But I can get over it. Every thing else is awesome.

  6. Oh, the internet :)

GW have done all they can, by using BL's most respected (and generally most liked) writer in Dan Abnett. And they have assembled some quality voice acting talent.

This movie has probably had less money spent on it than a Navi's loincloth, so I'm not expecting much (as long as its beyond the Dire Straits 'Money for nothing' video ^^)

Some of us have been waiting the best part of 20 years for something like this, and for me at least its a wet dream! Lets enjoy the feeling that GW have finally made this step (and the thought it could go onto even bigger things).

And save the bashing until we have seen the movie at least 3 times :)
