I have been working on building my first Grey Hunters pack and it struck me that I haven't chose a color for my power weapons. So I though I'd let you guys help me make up my mind.
Blue is the classic old reliable choice, but green would make for a nice contrast.
Looking at the test mini which color do you think would be a better color for my power weapons?
So vote in the poll and tell me why you chose the color.
Thanks,
Jim
i think a green would go better, illuminating from a plasma gun onto the grey would look great and suit the SW's. I think blue wouldnt be right at all. it'd contrast too much!
ReplyDeleteDon't neglect other, less frequently used colours such as a purple or an orage.
ReplyDeletewhat you might want to do it photoshop one of your guys with various hues so you can "see" it before you commit.
I had to vote blue. Excepting that mine have axes and snow bases, my Wolves could field alongside yours seamlessly. Green power weapons detracts from the catch point of the eyes and orange/yellows mute too much against the shoulder pads.
ReplyDeleteI voted for green since there were only two choices available. But I fully agree with Karitas; I think purple would match very well with the Space Wolves grey.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments. I didn't choose purple as an option because I'm not that confident I can pull it off convincingly.
ReplyDeleteDverning, I hadn't thought about that, good point.
I'll have to really think hard on this one.

Ach, that's a bit of a pity, Jim; I'm rather convinced that purple would look good with the grey. Well, there's always the option of trying it out on a test model first. Anyways, whatever colour you end up using, I'm sure that the results will be just as impressive. On a side note, the topknots on Skeld do indeed look better with paint on.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with purple on my power weapons, so I would also have voted for purple if it had been an option. Of the two, for your colour scheme I'd have to vote for blue as I don't think the green would match (despite me always wanting to do something different when I can)
